A New Dream…

In the beginning there was "Cutting Edge Lawn Service" — Matt Gordon's first business. He grew it over the years, but eventually sold it and spent time driving 18-wheelers across the country. Trucking wasn't his dream. After a few years, he returned to his first passion: gardens and landscaping.

In 2016, Gordon's Property Maintenance was born, and Matt began taking care of lawns in and around his home neighborhood. The customer base grew quickly, and those loyal clients wanted more — help with gardens, drainage, sod, landscape lighting, trimming and pruning. That demand pushed Matt to earn his Louisiana Horticulture License, raising the level of service he could offer.

Since 2023, Gordon's has been a Louisiana Licensed Irrigation Contractor — inspecting, repairing, and installing sprinkler systems for residential and commercial clients. Today, Gordon's Lawn and Landscaping provides the full range: landscape design and installation, irrigation, drainage, hardscaping, lighting, grading, sod, pergolas, and synthetic turf. And as the only authorized installer of NexGen Lawns synthetic turf in Southeast Louisiana, they bring something no one else in the region can.

Where We Are … and Where We're Going

Matt has a knack for seeing the best in people — a gift that helped him build a team of specialized, skilled, and talented crew members. They haven't forgotten their roots, and you can still find them at local events, church fundraisers, and supporting neighborhood schools and businesses.
